RESEARCH & DEVLOPEMENT: Project Nike Zoom Streak
I was looking to further develop my storytelling/3D skills and wanted to create a commercial but didn’t know what to do. I turned to my hobbies and I used to run track back in HS so this was a natural fit. There are some killer shoe commercials out there created by amazing teams and I was just doing this for learning so I didn’t want to put too much pressure on myself. So I was playing around with X-Particles in C4D and created this guy running and leaving a “streak” of color using the Instance Color Node in Octane with the particle set to age, and so it set the stage.
I learned a lot and pushed my skills another notch up. Does it look like a commercial? (Shrugs) I’ll leave that up to you.
