A SNAPSHOT OF TIME
Ten Years ago, in 2008, one of my classmates, my high school quarterback, my friend, died in Iraq while serving our country. Two other Marines, who were also my track mates, also passed away due to combat, so when Memorial Day was coming up I wanted to pay my respects by honoring them and their ultimate sacrifice.

WWII - Omaha Beach (D-Day) was the scene I chose to set the stage of these very personal and tragic stories. The time is slowed and bullets littered the sky to capture the impact of the moment. The US 1st and 29th Divisions together suffered around 2,000 casualties at Omaha Beach. The total German casualties on D-Day are not known, but are estimated as being between 4,000 and 9,000 men.
Operation Iraqi Freedom - as of June 29, 2016, according to the U.S. Department of Defense casualty website, there were 4,424 total deaths (including both killed in action and non-hostile) and 31,952 wounded in action (WIA) as a result of the Iraq War.
*All the soldiers and vehicles models were purchased from 3D model stores. The mocap was from Mixamo and brought into C4D and use X-Particles to turn the soldiers into dust. Just for the record, I worked on this waaaaaaaay before The Avengers Infinity War movie.
